Talking to the Grainy Darkness

What is your destination?

Blossoming.

How will you get there?

By daring to become larger.

What will you take with you?

Rain.

April.

Sunlight.

What will you do when you are afraid?

Fear is the door of air.

Rage is the door that eats

all oxygen. I will pass through one

and breathe. I will enter the other

and become flame.

What will you do if the cold returns?

Crouch beside the earth

and wait.

What will you be when you arrive?

A green pulse.

Blind hands.

Weightless fluff and froth.

What will you do then?

Turn myself inside out

and step into wind.
